I'm back
It's been almost six months since I've posted here. My life has changed somewhat. I didn't go back to doing shows. I took a job, a real job, for someone else. It's the first "real" job I've had in almost 25 years. It's for an arts center, I'm the gallery coordinator. It's mostly office work, a little desk top publishing, dealing with artsits and the public. The people I work with are very nice, it's a good situation but a bit of an adjustment for me. I spend enormous amounts of time away from home. Keeping up with the dogs and garden has proved to be a dance of time and energy.
Rosie had another litter of puppies on January 13, 2007. She had seven, all black. I've kept two girls for myself to breed in the future. I have kept one girl that will be going to her new home in July or so. I've also acquired a big black stud dog, Angus. I'll be able to breed him to my four girls, he's totally unrelated to them. He is a gentle giant, well behaved, sweet and beautiful. If you lost count, I'm now living with six poodles, soon to be five. I plan to keep all five and breed them. So, my life has truly gone to the dogs. I only wish I had more time to spend with them.
Due to the job and dogs my house has suffered. Never before have I lived in such a mess, not quite bad enough to get the health department involved but close. One of my goals is to improve that situation. I have put the spring garden in and much of the summer crops will be sown soon.
I've been doing quite a bit of music, playing guitar and singing, mostly with friends. I've been drawing at least once a week and have taken classes at the arts center where I'm working. The oppertunity to take classes is a huge perk of my job.
I regularly read many blogs and hope to post here with greater regularity. Stay tuned.
